The 2nd VCF Montreal dates have been announced, and they have moved a few
months ahead to avoid the dead of winter (it was in January earlier this
year; the next one is November 7-8 this year as well). It’s at a new

That same weekend, and newly added to the list, is the next RetroSC retro
computer/gaming show in Brazil that usually features a large contingent

Dragon 32/64
1) Draco DS (The Dragon emulator for the Nintendo DS series) has now gotten to
version 1.7. It supports Dragon 32/64 with 32 or 64K of RAM (and PAL timings),
Coco 1&2 with 32 or 64K RAM with NTSC timings, cassette/cartridge/disk
image support, save/load game state, digital and analog joystick controls
with adjustable sensitivity, artifact color support, the ability to swap
the the 2 DS screens between the monitor screen and the keyboard/controls
screen, screenshot capture (handy for Game On Challenge) and more:

2) Tom Erik Gundersen continues rapid progress on his Choplifter port,
having tanks roaming around, and the hostages are able to be killed by
the players on fire (and there are 32 of them now):

2) Bradley Goldsmith posted an update to his Coco HDMI board – he now has
true lowercase support for any Coco (including non T1 VDG Coco 1 and 2’s)
setable by a switch. He has also gotten sound working, and is getting

– he has written a comedy retro computer novel (called Packet Loss)

1) Fast on the heels of Lee Perkins releasing Montezuma’s Revenge for
the 512K Coco 3, Glen Hewlett has released the very first 2 MB RAM/6309
required Coco 3 game ever, a port of Rick Dangerous from the Amiga. Besides
NitrOS9 Level II, is this the first “killer app” for a 2 MB RAM Coco 3?:

3) Rich Stephens has released Fujirkle, a multiplayer dice game with both
Coco 1&2 and Coco 3 versions, for Fujinet. Coming soon for other Fujinet

4) Jamie Cho has released a MultiVue version of Flipper09 (an Othello
type game) with pull down menus, and it supports running in 2 4 or 16 color
screens. Source code is included. The game was originally by Stephen J. Page,
published in the Decemver 1989 issue of Rainbow.
