NEWS:
Dragon 32/64
1) Julian Brown has posted update 3 video blog about his Super SAM/VDG
board update, this time covering sprites:
https://youtu.be/IMoklF2iiq4?si=1U-ih6caFOy3eEj8
Coco 1/2/3 (and multi-platform)
1) Grant Bloedow posted a YouTube short showing his beta of a server
based implementation of the XRoar emulator with a fujinet server (using
the Becker port). It also adapts to a web interface and can run on phones, etc.
https://youtube.com/shorts/nFmITESf9io?si=ksIXTl_n1T5S7v2n
2) Allen Huffman put up a blog post explaining some of the quirky behaviour
of the PPOINT command in Extended Color BASIC, depending on PMODE and
SCREEN settings:
https://subethasoftware.com/2026/06/23/what-you-pset-is-not-always-what-you-ppoint/
3) Keith Frechette has started a project called “Li’l Commander” based
on Robert Kilgus’ Color TRSDOS that came with EDTASM+. This is a set of
routines to make file handling much easier than doing straight Disk ROM
calls, and I think Brian Wieseler actually has a more modern version that
Robert did back in the day. The new program by Keith is callable by the
DOS command, and he mentions in his Facebook post that he has more planned:

4) Robert Sitton has released video of his BOING.DSK challenge, which
shows ray tracing to do the “warp bubble” effect on a graphic image
on the Coco. In the comments he has video of an optimized, faster version
that does 3 such bubbles at once:

5) Reinaldo Torres has announced his TTGO-VGA32-COCO, which is an emulator
that uses that quite cheap LilyGO TTGO VGA32 board. From his post on the
Coco Discord:
“After several months of hard work, I am happy to finally share my latest
project with you all! Say hello to TTGO-VGA32-COCO, an emulator built to
bring the legendary Tandy Color Computer experience to ultra-affordable
hardware. If you have a LilyGO TTGO VGA32 board lying around (or are
looking for a great reason to buy one for just a few bucks), this project
turns it into a self-contained CoCo powerhouse! Some of the key features:
- Single Unified Firmware: No need to flash different files for different
setups. One firmware handles everything. - Online Switching: Seamlessly toggle dynamically between a CoCo 2 and
CoCo 3 environment right from the interface. - Fully Embedded & Standalone: Runs entirely on the cheap LilyGO board. All
you need to get started is a standard PS/2 keyboard, a PS/2 mouse, and
an SD card loaded with your favorite software.
I’ve put a lot of long nights into tweaking this to get it running
smoothly, and I would love for you guys to flash it, play around with it,
and let me know what you think!”

emulator combo downloads for Android that can run Atari 8 bit, Apple II,
Adam, MSX, and of course the Coco:

for LLVM compiler stack by Dr. Boisy Pitre:

column Coco 3 modes - Selected screen width/height & color set saved in an app keyboard
