The 2nd VCF Montreal dates have been announced, and they have moved a few
months ahead to avoid the dead of winter (it was in January earlier this
year; the next one is November 7-8 this year as well). It’s at a new
location closer to Montreal proper (Champlain College Saint-Lambert):

That same weekend, and newly added to the list, is the next RetroSC retro

NEWS:
Dragon 32/64
I guess when last week’s show is the second most recent search result,
all we can say is
- w1nt3rmu73 improves his Dragon platformer, with bonus grabbing. Not
sure if thats a bonus? But here’s a gameplay update
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4cxVk1cunE
Coco 1/2/3 (and multi-platform)
If we tried to cover all the SepTandy related posts that aren’t really
news SepTandy would be over mid show. But it is news if it’s new… anyone
else got any photos or videos from VCF-MW!
- BackhandSandwich (Vincent Tran) posted a video short of him porting
Sinistar to the Coco 3. This is a port straight from the arcade, rather
than an adaptation like Dave Dies did for Sundog back in the day.
Facebook post about it:

YouTube video (no sound):
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/4lAPkpPEX5w - Paul Shoemaker has a new Coco 1&2 game project underway – a port of Bruce
Lee originally by Datasoft (since Datasoft did multiple Coco ports, I always
wondered why they never did a port of this game to the Coco in particular):
https://www.facebook.com/reel/1730332094859667 - smbakeryt (Scott Baker) posted a followup video on his YouTube channel,
this time making his own multi-cart / videocart using a Raspberry Pi Pico
(this is not a multi-pak, but a cartridge that can have multiple ROM’s
available on it):
https://youtu.be/pNh6agtD1S4?si=a2HN-Xt6BmsO2dcu - TJBChris released an hour plus video about his history with the Coco 3,
including some of the programs he ran back in the day, and his first coding
efforts (including a game):
https://youtu.be/QfGDnll2I54?si=k5WDh8_Qv2jd7gMo
He then released a second slightly shorter video for SepTandy as well,
covering Customizing OS-9 on the Coco. A good introduct, and great takeoff
on 80s TV show tutoirals.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K6McY24179Q - George B Janssen has released Lesson 23 in his Coco 3 assembly language
tutorial series, this time covering common (default) graphics startup
programs:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZhcV8LULxkk - Joel Ewy let me know that one of the authors (David Kirk Buck) of POV-Ray,
a raytracing graphics program started way back in 1991 and still going,
which was based on David’s original DKBTrace program for the Amiga,
responded to a query by Joel that OS-9 on the Coco was his favourite OS:

Facebook comments (will have to expand to all comments and scroll down a
fair bit to find it):
https://www.facebook.com/groups/259905524039336/?multi_permalinks=29214945291441974&hoisted_section_header_type=recently_seen - Robert Sitton posted a video of ARC 3 on the Coco 3 using Semigraphics:
https://www.facebook.com/groups/2359462640/posts/10164805743837641/ - Paul Cunningham released a few things this past week:
SepTandy challenge for Claude Code – an animated bunny:
